We are family run, multi-award winning booksellers, with an independent bookshop based in the heart of Northamptonshire!

We are passionate about making books affordable, so we are very different from other bookshops in that all our BRAND NEW books are just £2.50 each! We also have a massive selection of 20,000 pre-loved books in-store.

Every member of our team is passionate about reading, promoting literacy and working with our local community.

In the days of Amazon dominance we are so humbled by the thousands of customers that have supported us over the years. It truly means the world to us!
2,500 square foot of new, pre-loved, vintage and collectable books, with thousands in stock. All new books are priced at just £2.50 regardless of the RRP.

We also have a cafe serving a lovely range of yummy snacks, hot drinks and thick fresh milkshakes...because there's nothing better than coffee, cake and books!

We regularly hold events especially during the school holidays so keep an eye on our Events page for more further details.

There is free and plentiful parking on-site. Please note that we are on the first floor and there is no lift. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

If I lived locally to this bookshop I would be in there very regularly. It's such a little gem that from time to time we travel from Luton. I love the family friendly vibe it has with the children's section. The prices are fantastic so you could get carried away and spend a fortune but have an awful lot to show for it!
We love visiting The Reading Tree. Our two year old often asks to come. The books are fantastic value. The staff are lovely and make you feel really welcome. There is colouring for little ones and tables for a nice drink and a treat

Such a wonderful find! Great ambience, knowledgeable staff and some wonderful rare finds at ridiculously low prices. Nice to be in an independent store. Fantastic selection of children's books and almost certainly there is a book in there for everyone. Coffee, cakes, books and in a super setting in the heart of a lovely community.
